Miscellaneous Things to Do When Bored



  1. Try on your mom's wedding dress if she still has it.

  2. Quiz yourself to see if you know all the words to your favorite songs.

  3. Quiz yourself to see if you know all the words to songs that you hear a lot that aren't favorites.

  4. Look up a magic trick tutorial.

  5. Watch an old Tv show you remember watching as a kid (sometimes you might be able to find episodes on YouTube.

  6. Look up commercials from the era in which you grew up because you just might remember some of them. I know I sometimes find that commercials that meant nothing to me when current make me feel strangely nostalgic today.

  7. Look up tricky riddles online, like these: https://www.getriddles.com/tricky-riddles/

  8. Make a list of what you might like for Christmas or for your birthday.

  9. Predict what future life milestones might be like when it comes time. (For example, if you are not married, maybe you can imagine what your wedding will look like.)

  10. Go somewhere in public just to people watch. (It probably sounds boring, but it might be surprised by how interesting it can be via overhearing someone say something funny or interesting, and possibly see an old friend you haven't seen in a decade.

  11. Take a virtual trip to a favorite place or somewhere you haven't visited.

  12. Look up what a day in the life of a/an (occupation you aren't highly acquainted with).

  13. Similarly, try to find an article or a video about an experience an individual had (they can be pleasant, like a cool trip they took, but it can also be interesting to learn about unpleasant experiences, such as being in the hospital after a traumatic injury.)

  14. Look up random things about your favorite celebrities (Including favorite things, childhood photos, family members and what they look like, birthdays, which can be found easily in most cases). Here's a link to FamousBirthdays.com is a very popular site for birthdays.

  15. look up the history of something you like.

  16. Ask your parents about their favorite books, movies, tv shows, music artists, songs, or anything from when they were your age. If you can find a way to read, watch, or listen to that, maybe you'd like it too.

  17. Think about something unique about you or someone you know and google any celebrities who have that in common with you or them.
